ARAMCO Midra

ARAMCO Midra Carpark solar plant is located in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia and is developed by ARAMCO. Belectric Gulf Limited, now BGL Energy, acted as the main EPC contractor for the project. The project was commissioned in 2011.

South Amman

Located in Amman Jordan, the South Amman PV Plant is developed by Ministry of Energy & Mineral Resources and financed by kfW bank, Germany. Belectric Gulf Limited, now BGL Energy, acted as the main EPC contractor for the project. Construction commenced in October 2017 and was commissioned in January 2020.
The project was built on very difficult terrain with a fixed structure, however the company succeeded in providing a suitable civil solution for the land and the drainage of water. In addition, a storage system with 2.6MW /2.6MWh for 1C was successfully installed. BGL Energy is contracted for operation and maintenance of the project for 3 years.

Bisha Mine

Bisha solar plant is located in Aggreko’s Bisha mine facility in Eritrea and is developed by Aggreko. Belectric Gulf Limited, now BGL Energy, acted as the main EPC contractor for the project. Construction commenced in 2017 and the project was commissioned in 2018.
This plant has a very remote location and also incorporates a diesel genset hybrid configuration.

Zaatari Refugee Camp

Zaatari solar PV plant, located in Mafraq Governorate of Jordan, provides the power for the Zaatari Refugee Camp, which hosts refugees from Syria

This project is developed by Ministry of Energy & Mineral Resources, Jordan and financed by kfW bank, Germany. Belectric Gulf Limited, now BGL Energy, acted as the main EPC contractor for the project.

Construction commenced in Sept 2016 and was commissioned in Oct 2017.

The company also undertook the initial 3-year operation and maintenance contract for this plant.

Almarai DIC Jebel Ali

Almarai DIC 698 kWp solar plant is located in Dubai Industrial City, Jebel Ali and it is developed by Almarai. Belectric Gulf Limited, now BGL Energy, acted as the main EPC contractor for the project. Construction commenced in November, 2017 and the plant was commissioned in April, 2018.

BGL Energy is also undertaking the initial 4-year operation and maintenance for the project.

The Somaliland Ministry of Information project is located in Hargeisa, Somaliland and is developed by FEWA, UAE. Belectric Gulf Limited, now BGL Energy, acted as the main EPC contractor for the project. The plant was commissioned in 2017.
